Choose resources for your website or application

Compare workload needs rather than choosing only by the lowest monthly price.

Protect your data firstKeep a current off-server backup before reinstalling, updating, changing firewall rules, or running an application installer.

Estimate the workload

List your applications, expected visitors, database size, file uploads, and background jobs. A small static site and a busy ecommerce database have different requirements. AI model inference can need hardware that an ordinary VPS does not provide.

Compare the plan

  • CPU: builds, database queries, compression, and concurrent requests.
  • RAM: running processes, database cache, and application workers.
  • Storage: operating system, persistent app data, logs, and room for updates.
  • Bandwidth: downloads, backups, media delivery, and API traffic.

Leave headroom

Check the selected application's minimum requirements at checkout. Minimum resources are not a guarantee for your workload. Start with enough room for normal peaks, measure actual usage, and ask support about upgrade availability before capacity becomes critical. Location affects latency; it does not replace good application caching.
